What is Microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic treatment that is used to enhance the eyebrows and reconstruct natural-looking eyebrows. During this treatment, a blade is used to gently etch and place pigment into the skin to create fuller, natural-looking brows. A complimentary consultation is required before your actual treatment to review what shape and color you need.
Benefits of Microblading
What can I expect during a treatment session?
Your first Microblading treatment session typically lasts for approximately an hour and a half. During your treatment session, we will style and shape your brows to best fit your desired results and then color match the pigment to be used during the Microblading treatment. Directly prior to your treatment, we will apply a topical anesthetic to your brows to reduce any discomfort associated with the treatment.
What is the healing process?
There is no downtime associated with Microblading, though we do recommend patients avoid activities that involve excess sun exposure, sweating and/or exposure to water. Following your Microblading procedure, your eyebrow area may be mildly red and/or swollen, and the pigment may appear very dark. As the treated area heals, the color will begin to lighten and about one month after your procedure the color will have fully set. It usually takes between 7 and 14 days for the brow area to heal and you may experience some slight scabbing in the treated area during the healing process.
How long do results last?
The healed results of Microblading can last anywhere from one to three years depending on the patient’s skin type and skincare regimen. Most patients typically require a touch-up session within four to six weeks of their first treatment session as each skin type holds pigment differently. In order to maintain the results of your Microblading treatment, we recommend patients plan to have a touch-up session every 12 months. Results may vary.
