How does CoolSculpting work?
The number of fat cells in your body is set during childhood and adolescence. During adulthood, some individuals may have stubborn pockets of fat that are difficult to shrink even with diet and exercise. This uses a one of a kind technology that freezes and kills fat cells. Fat cells dislike cold and at a certain temperature they will freeze. After your treatment is finished, the body will naturally eliminate the dead cells in 1-3 months. The result is up to 20%-25% reduction of fat in the area treated after only one treatment.
What areas can I treat with CoolSculpting?
This procedure is FDA cleared for the treatment of visible fat bulges and the appearance of lax tissue in the submental (under the chin or double chin) and submandibular (under the jawline). Other areas that can be treated are thighs, abdomen and flanks, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll) and upper arms. This procedure is not a treatment for weight loss.
How many treatments will I need?
One treatment of CoolSculpting will reduce up to 20%-25% of the fat cells in the area treated. However, you may need more than one treatment to reach your desired results.
