What is CO2 Resurfacing?
CO2 resurfacing is a method of skin rejuvenation that uses concentrated laser energy to trigger the body’s natural processes of healing and renewal, resulting in healthy, glowing skin. How Does it Work?
During a CO2 resurfacing treatment, laser energy is aimed at the patient’s desired treatment area. This energy is absorbed by the skin’s inner structures as heat. As the temperature of the tissues and collagen proteins beneath the skin begins to rise, the body’s natural process of healing and renewal begins. Blood and nutrients circulate to the treatment area, collagen fibers begin to multiply, and newer, healthier skin cells start to form.
