Dr. Robert Mandraccia
Dr. Robert Mandraccia is a renowned plastic surgeon with over 30 years of experience. He has earned board certifications from both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. His training has included a five-year residency in general and vascular surgery at Temple University in Philadelphia followed by two years of studying plastic surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center.
Dr. Mandraccia is a member of the Aesthetic Society, an elite group of plastic surgeons that has only 4,500 members throughout the world. He is also a member of several other professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Lipoplasty Society of North America, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons. Dr. Mandraccia’s specialties include breast surgery, brow lifts, eyelid lifts, liposuction, rhinoplasty, and facial rejuvenation procedures like facelifts.
What Does a Facelift Involve?
A facelift or rhytidectomy is a cosmetic surgical procedure done to correct such problems as wrinkles, sagging skin, and jowls. During the procedure, the plastic surgeon can remove excess fat and skin from the patient’s face and neck and tighten the remaining skin. A facelift mainly affects the lower two-thirds of the face, so patients may sometimes get a brow lift or eyelid lift at the same time to rejuvenate the top part of their face.
